When To Use PPC Ads

Emergency Services

When your car breaks down on the side of I-10, you're likely not going to take your time scrolling through Google. Tow companies, A/C repair, emergency plumbing services and others have an excellent ROI on PPC ads.

High Ticket Services

Large ticket services like lawyers and physicians can get an excellent ROI from PPC ads. With the growing popularity of med spas and cash pay physicians, there is a lot of opportunity to catch your share of business.

Seasonal Businesses

Seasonal businesses that do most of their yearly business in a short period are prime candidates for PPC advertising. We can use historical data to determine what people were searching for during your busy season.

Not Always a Great ROI

Cautions With PPC ads

Small Budgets

Because Google uses a bidding system, small budgets are often overpowered and they simply don't return results. We generally will recommend other avenues for budgets less than $1,000/mo.

Ultra Competitive Industries

We see great results with a good budget for competitive industries. However this can come at a high cost. If you're trying to get great ROI with a small budget we have other great options!

Where are these clicks going?

PPC tracking works great when we focus on a service or product and direct clicks to a dedicated landing page. Let's say you're trying to get more brake jobs at your auto shop. You're spending $3000/mo on PPC ads but they're directed to your website. It would be difficult to tell how successful the campaign was because those clicks would be mixed in with organic website traffic.

Low margin and low AOV

Recently we ran a PPC campaign for an HVAC company and calculated that each sale from the campaign cost $253. Their Average Order Value (AOV) was almost $4,000, a great ROI! If that same campaign was for a cleaning company with an ROI of $300, it wouldn't make much sense.
